This actually makes sense as law enforcement elements are more likely to make this distinction in reality.

Still, its approach to realism is more on interactions, and the rest sticks to the original GTA 5 experience. The wounds and bullet physics still remain the same, unlike other mods that create custom textures and decals to simulate more accurate injuries. The same goes for the game physics, such as getting hit by vehicles–giving the sense that an average body is lighter in the game than in real life.
